107 new Covid-19 cases in DK, 68 in Udupi

Mangaluru, Oct 20, 2020:   Dakshina Kannada reported 107 fresh Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the total number of cases in the district to 28,421.

 

The discharges continue to outnumber fresh cases in the district and on Monday, 398 recovered people had been discharged.

Dakshina Kannada recorded six more fatalities, taking the tally of deaths in the district to 637.

As many as 24,686 people had recovered so far in the district. The district has 3,098 active cases undergoing treatment in home isolation and hospitals.

Udupi

As many as 68 people, the lowest in the recent days, were found infected with Covid-19 in Udupi, taking the total number of cases in the district to 20,938 as on Monday.

With two more deaths confirmed due to Covid-19, the total number of Covid-19 deaths in Udupi stands at 175.

Out of 68 new cases, 64 were in home isolation and four in hospitals. A total of 1,436 swab samples were collected for testing on Monday, while a total of 1,58,551 samples were collected till date.

As many as 18,895 patients were discharged in the district, while there are 1,826 active cases.
