1 dead; 3 injured as speeding car rams into parked car at Kannur

Mangaluru, June 27, 2018: One person lost his life and three others sustained injuries when a speeding car hit a car which was parked on the roadside near Kannur masjid on June 27, Wednesday morning.

The deceased person is Mohammad Farooq (32) of Kannur. Farooq along with Junaid and Sarfaraz, also from Kannur had parked their car near the mosque following heavy rain. In the meantime, a yet to be registered Polo car which was speeding forth from BC Road hit the parked car. The impact of the collision was such that both the cars landed in a nearby drain.

The driver of the Polo car Haneef was also injured. An autorickshaw and a bike which were parked nearby were also damaged during the mishap.
