Mangaluru, Dec 12, 2015: Kannada film, ’Naanu Avanalla Avalu,’ (I am not ’he’ but ’she’) based on the life of transgenders, which is an aclaimed subject, is now screened at Prabhat theatre from December 11.

Addressing media, Film Distributor Prakash Pandeshwar said that the film has received very good response. The film will be screened at 10 am, 1 pm, 4 pm and 7 pm shows at Prabhat theatre,  Hampankatta.

Stating that the film has won two national awards for the best actor and best make-up, Prakash said the film, directed by Lingadevaru and produced by Ravi R Garani, has a unique message to the society.

When the hero realises that he is not ’he,’ but ’she,’ the turbulence he undergoes, the impact on the family members, the way the society looks at transgenders - all have been beautifully captured by acclaimed director Lingadevaru, Prakash added. The lead role is played by Sanchari Vijay . This is socially educating film.
