Mangaluru, June 28, 2016: Reports pour in that at least  7,000 job aspirants have registered online for ’Alva’s Pragati’, the mega job fair being organised by Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri, near Mangaluru.

Foundation managing trustee Vivek M. Alva told presspersons here that about 350 companies too had confirmed their participation in the two-day event. The annual mass placement drive would be on from July 2 at Vidyagiri, Moodbidri.

B.R. Shetty, CEO of NMC and UAE Exchange would inaugurate the event. Alva’s Pragati is open for students aspirants from across the country,  Alva said. Prominent companies participating in the event include Amazon, HP, Oracle, TCS, NMC, Wockhardt Hospitals, UAE Exchange, IBM, Honda, Standard Chartered, Kemwell, Axis Bank, Reliance Communication, Idea, Café Coffee day, Columbia Asia Hospital, Robosoft Technologies, Narayana Hospitals, Tata Motors, Ninjakart, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Kirloskar Electric, TVS Motors, TechMahindra, BFW, Mphasis, Huawei, etc.

More representation of companies this year from sectors such as manufacturing, IT, ITeS, Telecom, BFSi, Sales, Pharma, Hospitality, Healthcare, Education, NGO and Defence is expected, he said.
