‘Swavalambi Santhe’- helping women to be self-reliant

Mangalore, May 05, 2014: A ‘Swavalambi Santhe’ a market place of home made products of women entrepreneurs was arranged at the Sahitya Kendra premises in the city on May 4, Sunday. The organisers of the event were Canara Bank Mangalore Circle Office, Sahitya Kendra and Women’s Wing of District Small Industries Association.

 

 

 

 

 

Inaugurating the programme aimed at encouraging women entrepreneurs, Saritha Rai, a businesswoman said success in business is assured when quality is maintained, no matter the number of players in the field.

Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, District Kannada Sahitya Parishat, while deploring the mall culture, said people must try to apprehend the quality and the health aspects of the food materials available there.

Social activist Vijayalakshmi B Shetty, Canara Bank Divisional Manager Krishna Kumari, Senior Manager Narayana and others were present.
