’Sangama’ at Uppinangady: cleaness drive by students

Uppinangady, Apr 26 2019: Indraprastha Vidyalaya, scouts troop, conducted a cleanliness drive at Sangama, the confluence of the Rivers Nethravathi and Kumaradhara and removed the waste items dumped at the place.



Scouts troopers,  Aniketh Kumar Sathwik Pariyar, Nyas Rai, Abhishikt John, Sri Ram and Vaibhav Prabhu removed rags and plastic waste from the river.

Uppinangady Sri Sahasralingeshwara Temple Manager Venkatesh Rao lauded the efforts by students in cleaning the river. “I will urge all the devotees not to dump old clothes to the river, and take other steps to keep the area clean” he said.
