’Fire’ row : Ullal Block Congress files complaint against Nalin Kumar Kateel

Mangaluru, Jan 2, 2017 : The Ullal Block Congress has on January 2, Monday lodged a complaint against Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel at the Konaje Police Station over his ’’setting DK on fire" remarks  during a protest seeking arrest of the killers of Karthik Raj. It may be recalled here that Karthik Raj, son of Umesh Ganiga, former Mangaluru TP Chief,  was attacked on October 22 and had died the next day.

 A large number of Congress workers  had converged in front of the Konaje police station    while the complaint was lodged.

District Youth Congress President Mithun Rai who spoke on the occasion, referring to the ’fire’ remarks said the Congress would douse the fire.

Ullal Block Congress President Santosh Kumar Shetty said the statement of the MP who has great responsibility on his shoulders, has caused panic among the people.

The Youth Congress is scheduled to hold a protest on Tuesday against the MP’s statement.
