Mangaluru, Jan 5, 2017 : Senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary has questioned Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel as to whether he wants Dakshina Kannada to reduce to ashes.
Speaking to reporters here on January 5, Thursday, Poojary rebuked Nalin for his ’fire’ statement during a protest at Konaje recently and demanded that the MP should tender an apology to the people of the district by making a door-to-door visit.
On Yettinahole Project, Poojary once again lashed out at DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai and Water Resources Minister MB Patil and questioned if the water available in Yettinahole has been measured. "The CM as well as Water resources minister should quit over failure to implement Mahadayi project," said Poojary.
Minister for Sugar and Co-operation Mahadeva Prasad who passed away recently was an efficient minister, Poojary said and requested that the minister’s wife or son should be given an opportunity to contest from the constituency which has fallen vacant following his demise.
Poojary also said that Home Minister Parameshwar has erred through his statement on the Bengaluru molestation case that has caused national outrage.
"Such a statement from Parameshwar whom I wanted to see as the next CM is unwelcome," said Poojary.
Kallige Taranath Shetty, Karunaker Shetty and others were present.
