’Clean minds for healthy India’ – 46th Swachch Soch Programme by RK Mission

Mangaluru, Mar 15, 2019 : Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru unit had organised a Swachch Soch programme in Govt College of Teacher Education, Mangaluru.  This was their 46th programme conducted for college students in  DK and Udupi Districts.  




Shri Gopinath Rao,  ex-army personnel inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.   Shri Sheshappa Amin,  Asst Professor,  Govt First Grade College, Rathabeedi, Mangaluru spoke about the Swachch Soch programme and discussed the need to make cleanliness and national priority.

Then the co-ordinator of the programme Shri Ranjan Bellarpadi gave a lively lecture-cum-demonstration and discussed how we are responsible for our waste and how could our participation be in cleanliness drives.   How should waste be disposed in cities was his major focus.  He demonstrated how houses can manage the wet waste.  Later students clarified many of their doubts in the question and answer session.  At the end all students took the Swachchata Oath.  Shri S C Nagesh,  faculty of the college presided over the function.  Student teachers Kum. Amritha conducted the programme and Kum Shubhalakshmi proposed vote of thanks.
