Mangalore Today News Network

Udupi, July 07, 2020:   As many as 1,547 people had violated home quarantine norms but cases were booked against only eight persons, which is not correct. If anyone violates the home quarantine guidelines for the second time, cases should be booked, Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha directed officials.

He was speaking at a meeting held at Zilla Panchayat Hall in Manipal.

“Only warnings had been issued to 1,236 persons who had violated the quarantine period. Don’t show sympathy while booking cases against those who violate the norms more than once.”

“If anyone fails to adhere to the guidelines of the government, then book a case against them. Cases will be booked against officials if they fail to implement the government norms,” the deputy commissioner warned tahsildars and flying squad officials.

The quarantine guidelines for those arriving from Maharashtra should be implemented effectively. The officials should implement all the guidelines of  the government.
