Woman shot by Delhi cop, dumped on road; another cop rescues her

Delhi, Sep 28, 2020: A woman was allegedly dumped on the road after she was shot by a cop in Delhi’s Alipur area.The injured woman, who was allegedly shot by a Delhi Police sub-inspector, was later found by another sub-inspector and taken to a nearby hospital, news agency IANS reported. Her condition is said to be stable now.

 

As she was taken to the hospital, the victim revealed that she was shot by Delhi Police Sub-Inspector Sandeep Dahiya. Dahiya is posted at Lahori Gate.

According to the report, Dahiya -- the accused -- is on the process of separation from his wife due to "some matrimonial dispute".

Sources said the victim and the accused were known to each other and they were in a relationship since last year.

A case has been registered against Sub-Inspector Dahiya for the crime and further investigation is underway.
