Veteran film-maker K.S.L. Swamy passes away

Bengaluru, Oct 20, 2015: Kannada film industry veteran director, producer, actor and playback singer KSL Swamy passes away. Born as Kikkeri Shamanna Lakshminarasimha Swamy in 1938 took his last breath yesterday, October 19th.

KSL Swamy was hospitalized from past few days, as he was suffering from breathing problems. The further reports say that, KSL passed away, after returning back home from hospital to his house which is located at Horamavu, Bengaluru.


KSL Swamy (77) was hospitalized from past 42 days. The legendary actor-director made his debut as an independent director in 1966 through Thoogudeepa. Mr. Swamy had worked with famous directors Puttanna Kanagal, GV Iyer, and M. R. Vittal. As earlier decided, KSL Swamy’s eye and body shall be donated to MS Ramaiah Hospital, Bengaluru.
