This woman wants to marry Rahul Gandhi and says he has promised her (in dreams)

Allahabad, Nov 23, 2016: In India, there’s nothing like a big fat wedding. No wonder, people go crazy when our favourite stars tie the knot or receive a proposal. We can hear the shehnais already. Actors or politicians getting hitched have always intrigued people; what exactly stimulates it is yet to be decoded.

Recently, a video was doing rounds on social media of a woman wanting to marry Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi. Yes, this woman has been “charmed” by Gandhi and has put forward many reasons why he should (if not must) marry her.

The unidentified woman from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh gave an interview to media outside the Congress office in the state and declared his ‘love’ for the politician. The ardent fan said Gandhi has had “meals with Dalits”, “helps Dalits”, can “marry Dalit” and “since I’m an OBC, have been working with his party for so long, why won’t he not marry me!”

The woman who claims to be a worker of Congress Seva Dal has come forward to let her feelings be heard by her ‘dream man’. She claims talks about her marriage with Gandhi began way back in 2006! And she admits, she had little trust in him then. But after she joined the party in 2014, her impression about the leader started changing.

She says she has met the Amethi MP on several occasions. It was during such encounters that she felt that the Congress VP’s feelings were akin. When asked by the reporters what are the reasons, she says, “He is a good man, son of prime minister, good leader” and the list continues.

Asked about any assurance from the MP, she says, “not in reality, face-to-face, but have assured me when I see him in my dreams.” In her fantasy world, Gandhi has allegedly promised to marry her, make her his wife and even have children together!
