Security beefed up after midnight bomb blast at bus stand in Jammu, no casaulties reported

Srinagar, Dec 29, 2018 : A bomb blast ripped through a bus stand in Jammu on Friday night. The explosion, a low-intensity grenade blast, occurred sometime after midnight, the police officials said, Yahoonews reported.

 

Early investigation has revealed that the bomb was placed close to a load carrier which has suffered damage. The driver of the vehicle, who was sleeping inside the carrier when the blast took place, said: “I woke up due to a loud explosion. When I got out I saw a big crowd gathered in the area. There was confusion and people were running away from the blast site.”

No casualties or injuries have been reported, said news agency ANI. Security has been beefed up in the area. Eyewitnesses said the incident led to panic and confusion among the locals who rushed to safer areas. A Water tank also got damaged in the blast.
