Restrictions lifted in Jammu, Will continue in Kashmir: Police

J&K, Aug 14: The Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order of J&K Munir Khan on Wednesday, 14 August, briefed the media on the prevailing law and order situation. He said that the restrictions in Jammu have been removed completely while they will continue for some time in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, J&K People’s Movement President and former IAS officer Shah Faesal was on Wednesday detained in Delhi while trying to leave the country. He was sent back to Kashmir and detained again under PSA in Srinagar, reported news agency PTI.

Pakistan has formally called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss India’s move to revoke the special status to Jammu and Kashmir, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Tuesday, 13 August.
