Ramdev has ’solution’ for dengue, after HIV and homosexuality

New Delhi, Sept 17: With Dengue claiming 15 lives in Delhi and the High Court seeking response from the administrations, Ramdev on Thursday outlined a steps to cure the disease.

Saying that medical science has no cure for dengue, Ramdev said that the Patanjali Yogapeeth has done ’several procedures and come out with scientific preventive measures’ against the disease. He also gave out that a homemade remedy to prevent the disease. "A 50 ml mixed juice of Giloy, aloe vera, papaya leaf and pomegranates given daily can prevent dengue," he said.

 

The capital has 1,714 confirmed dengue cases this year which crossed the 2010 dengue breakout, which stood at 1,695.

Voicing concern over the rise of dengue cases in the national capital, the Delhi High Court today asked the Centre and city government to explain the steps they have taken to contain the vector-borne disease. A bench of Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice Jayant Nath also asked the three municipal corporations and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) to explain the steps taken by them to control the disease.

Terming it as a serious issue, the bench issued notice to Centre, Delhi government, municipal corporations and NDMC directing them to file a short affidavit before September 24. The court, meanwhile, refrained from ordering lodging of an FIR against directors of hospitals which denied treatment to a seven-year-old boy who died of dengue and whose parents subsequently committed suicide.
