Rajinikanth In Trouble, BJP Warns Him Against Playing Tipu Sultan?

Sep 16, 2015: Highly celebrated actor Rajinikanth seems to be encountering some serious political trouble. The superstar who is always geared up to try different roles was much in news lately after a leading Kannada producer said that he will make a film on Tipu Sultan and rope in Rajinikanth for the same.

 

However, all does not seem to be well with this upcoming project. According to reports, BJP senior leader L Ganesan, leader of Hindu Munnani Ramagopalan and the Hindu Makkal Katchi are displeased with the fact that Rajinikanth is considering playing the role of Tipu Sultan. The political leaders have apparently warned the superstar against playing Tipu Sultan in the movie.

Reports suggest that the agitation is present because BJP has termed Tipu Sultan anti-Tamil and therefore don’t want Rajinikanth to be a part of the film. It is being said that Rajinikanth has still not nodded a yes for the film and the project is still in the inception stage. No further clarifications on the same have been made by Rajinikanth.

Citing to the same, BJP national secretary H Raja has termed in an interview that Tipu Sultan was a murderer and a film on the subject would be glorifying this image. Adding to the same, it is being said that Rajinikanth is currently tied up with his other projects and has not given any conformation on the film yet.

It is also being predicted that Rajinikanth won’t be accepting the role, as Tipu Sultan has committed atrocities on Hindus. Not only the stated groups have expressed their angst against Rajinikanth for playing the role of Tipu Sultan, many other organizations have also expressed their dismay.

Well, now whether Rajinikanth accepts the role or no only time will tell.
