Popular Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani passes away

Kerala Mar 07, 2016 : Kalabhavan Mani was hospitalised for the past two days. It is said that the actor was undergoing treatment for liver-related ailments.
Popular Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani passed away at a private hospital in Kochi on Sunday, said his family. He was 45.
The Gemini actor was hospitalised since Friday. According to a report published in Manorama online, the actor was undergoing treatment for liver-related ailments.
In a career spanning close to a quarter century, Mani has acted in around 200 films and of late, was seen more often in Tamil films.
An erstwhile auto-driver, Kalabhavan Mani, began his career as a mimicry artiste. Then he went on to play serious and even villain roles. He was also known for his folk songs.
For his brilliant portrayal as a blind man in the film Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum, he won the special jury award at the national and the state level.
In Tamil, He was recently seen in Kamal Haasan’s Papanasam, a remake of Malayalam film Drishyam.
