Heeraben’s visit to the bank came on the seventh day since the government declared old Rs 500, Rs 1000 currency notes illegal, a decision that has triggered a massive chaos all over the country.

The Modi government’s decision to demonetise 500 and 1000 rupee notes has evoked mixed responses. While some have hailed the decision, others have criticised the move for the inconvenience it has subjected the common man to.

PEOPLE INCONVENIENCED

This after people, especially those on daily wages, have been struggling to get their money exchanged despite standing in long queues at the banks and ATMs.

Last week, the BJP had attacked Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for visiting a bank, calling it a photo op.
