Dehradun, May 03, 2017: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun on Wednesday morning. He began his Uttarakhand visit by offering prayers at the famous Kedarnath Temple.

PM Modi arrives at Kedarnath Temple, offers prayers.

Portals of the Kedarnath Temple thrown open for devotees, PM Narendra Modi to offer prayers here shortly.

The PM is expected to arrive at the Kedarnath Temple in a military chopper.

I will be inaugurating the Patanjali Research Institute at Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar, 12 noon onwards, he had said in another tweet.

Through a tweet, the PM had yesterday informed his followers about his Kedarnath visit.  

This is Narendra Modi’s first visit to the Kedarnath Temple – dedicated to Lord Shiva – ever since he became PM.

The doors of the Kedarnath Temple have been opened in view of PM Modi’s visit.

During the visit, the PM will also inaugurate the Patanjali Research Institute in Haridwar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Dehradun, will visit Kedarnath Temple shortly.

He also visited the accommodation arrangements made for the pilgrims at Kedarnath.

He visited the medical centre set up at Kedarnath to provide prompt medical facilities for the pilgrims and interacted with the medical team deployed at the centre.

Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat yesterday flew to Kedarnath to review the preparations ahead of the PM’s visit.
