After meeting the women workers of Rajini Makkal Mandram -- a forum he started -- the superstar said, "It was not proper on the part of Karnataka governor to grant 15 days for proving majority."

Rajini, who is always seen to take a soft stand against BJP, for the first time has criticised the saffron party. Even during the Cauvery agitation which took place in Tamil Nadu against PM Modi with #GoBackModi trending on social media, Rajini had maintained a stoic silence.

"Hats off to the Supreme Court for its intervention. My pranams to it," said Rajini criticising governor Vajubhai Vala’s stand of inviting the BJP to form a government in Karnataka while Congress-JD(S) alliance had a clear majority.

Rajini added, "The Karnataka government should implement Supreme Court orders on the Cauvery water as per the verdict. Technicalities of whether it is going to be an authority or a board should be avoided. The court has given a clear order."

Surprisingly, Thalaivar also gave a hint of what he is planning for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

"We will launch a party before the 2019 parliamentary elections and we are continuously working for this. Decisions on alliances will be made only after the party launch," he said.

Till date Rajini has not given a date for his party launch. The neta-to-be, who aims at "spiritual politics", has always said, "when the time is right I will launch the party."

Well, the Thalaiva never fails to keep his fans guessing, be it films or his much awaited political debut.
