Mumbai Road Rage Caught on CCTV, Man Holds Onto Wipers of Car

Mumbai, Aug 12, 2015: A chilling case of road rage has been captured by security cameras in Mumbai. The pictures show a man clinging onto the bonnet of a car as it speeds down a busy road.

The car driver got into a fight with a Volvo bus driver, beat him up in Navi Mumbai with a bat and smashed the windshield of the Volvo. When the assailant tried to escape, the bus driver climbed onto to the Maruti Swift to force it to stop.

However, he was forced to cling to the wipers as the car driver zipped for another 300 metres; the bus driver then fell off the car.

The drama took place on July 27; the police used the CCTV footage to track down the Swift driver was arrested four days later and identified as Abdul Rashid Ansari.  The bus driver, Santosh Shimlikar, had injuries to his head and legs, but has been released from hospital.
