Months after surgical strikes, 55 terror training camps come up along LoC

New Delhi, May 3, 2017: The Indian Army conducted surgical strikes across the Line of Control in Pakistan occupied Kashmir in September last year destroying several terror training camps and killing scores of militants. However, latest intelligence inputs suggest that several terror camps have once again come up in the region.

According to intelligence reports, at least 55 terror training camps have started operating across the LoC. The camps have been set up at new locations to avoid identification by Indian agencies.

Trained militants from these terror launch pads are being pushed into Jammu and Kashmir to create trouble.  Reports further added that Pakistan-based terror outfits are planning to push in dozens of militants from these launch pads into the Indian territory.

PRESENCE OF TALIBAN, AFGHAN TERRORISTS

A few days ago, Indian intelligence had received information regarding Pakistan’s Inter-State Intelligence (ISI) along and the country’s army working together to set up new terror launch pads in PoK. Reports said that about 25-30 launching pads had already been established. Security agencies had intercepted movement of Lashkar, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists along with some Taliban and Afghan militants.

ARMY MOVING MORE TROOPS

In the wake of brutal mutilation of BSF jawans and likelihood of more terror attacks, the Indian Army is moving more troops from south of the Pir Panjal range to the Kashmir Valley and other areas.

Army has made fresh plans to foil actions by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) and instruction have been issued to local commanders to foil such actions. It is believed that BAT was behind the beheading of two BSF jawans Naib Suebdar Paramjit Singh and head constable Prem Sagar.
