Building collapses in Kolkata’s Burrabazar; 1 dead, rescue ops underway

Kolkata, Sep 05 2017: At least one person died and several others were critically injured after an old building collapsed in Kolkata’s congested Burrabazar on Tuesday.
According to ANI, at least three persons have been critically injured in the incident. Those injured have been rushed to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the local administration has begun the rescue work.
More people are believed to be trapped inside the debris.
A picture of the unfortunate incident was sghared by a Twitter user on the popular networking site.
The Kolkata incident comes day after at least 33 people were killed and another 14 injured when a 117-year-old five-storey residential building collapsed in Bhendi Bazar area of south Mumbai on September 1.
