Babri case: Advani, Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti to appear before court

New Delhi,May 30 2017: BJP leaders L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti on Tuesday to appear before a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Lucknow on the charges of conspiracy in the Babri Masjid demolition case.

BJP leader Vinay Katiyar, VHP’s Vishnu Hari Dalmia, Hindutva preacher Sadhvi Ritambara has also been asked to be present by Special CBI judge S K Yadav.

Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti denied the conspiracy charges. While speaking to ANI she said, “It was an open protest, as it was during the time of emergency. What conspiracy was there in it I don’t know”.

“It is the matter of God and in such a case I can only have expectations from him. Since I have taken part in it with devotion, I don’t consider myself as a criminal,” she added.

Another case of the demolition of the Babri Masjid is also being heard, it would frame charges against Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, Mahant Ram Vilas Vedanti, Baikunth Lal Sharma alias Prem Ji, Champat Rai Bansal, Mahant Dharma Das and Satish Pradhan.
