The chief minister did not mince words when it came to criticising Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.

"Rahul is active only during election. After election, he vanishes and he has not done anything for ’vikas’," said Adityanath.

The chief minister targeted Rahul by saying that he has not done anything for the development of Amethi, a constituency held by his family for too long.

YOUTH ALLIANCE AGAINST BJP

When asked about burgeoning young leaders against the BJP in Gujarat, Yogi Adityanath, inferring to Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi leader Akhilesh Yadav, asked where are the two youths who challenged BJP in Uttar Pradesh Assembly election.

He further said that people of Gujarat have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development and vision.

Upon being asked about Rahul’s claim of development gone ’crazy’, the chief minister said that those criticising development were doing so because they were unable to see it.

He added that development of Gujarat has not gone mad; but its development  gave prosperity to the country. Yogi said that Rahul’s comments were an insult to Gujarat.

Yogi said Gujarat’s development has not gone mad, but it is Rahul’s mentality that needs to change.

STINT WITH PATIDARS

Amid the political tussle in Gujarat, a local convenor of Hardik Patel’s Anamat Andolan Samiti, Narendra Patel, alleged that BJP leadership had offered him Rs 1 crore to join the party.

Patel called a press conference and displayed Rs 10 lakh allegedly given to him by BJP leaders.

Meanwhile, when asked about Patidar leadership growing closer to the Congress, the Gujarat BJP leader Varun Patel denied it by saying that the community is more inclined towards BJP.

Patel asked why Narendra Patel called press meet after accepting Rs 10 lakh and not Rs 1 crore.

Patel added that it was a conspiracy by Gujarat Congress.
