BJP promises free coronavirus vaccine for all, 19 lakh jobs in Bihar election manifesto

Bihar, Oct 22, 2020: Free coronavirus vaccine for all, 19 lakh new jobs in five years are among the promises made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in its manifesto or ’Sankalp Patra’ for the upcoming Bihar election 2020, which was released on Thursday. BJP’s manifesto for the Bihar election 2020 was released by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, senior leaders Bhupender Yadav, Nityanand Rai, Ashwini Choubey, and Pramod Kumar in Patna.

The BJP’s manifesto for Bihar election 2020 speaks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making an ’Atmanirbhar Bihar’ or self-reliant Bihar.

Free coronavirus vaccine for all and 19 lakh new jobs for Bihar youth are among the promises made by the BJP. Besides, the BJP has also promised the appointment of 3 lakh new teachers, 30 lakh pucca houses for poor by 2022 and one lakh jobs in the health sector.

Releasing the manifesto, Nirmala Sitharaman said that all Biharis will get coronavirus vaccines, that are still in clinical trial stages in India, at their houses free of cost as soon as it is available for mass production in the country.

"As soon as a coronavirus vaccine will be available for production at a mass scale, every person in Bihar will get free vaccination. This is the first promise mentioned in our poll manifesto," Nirmala Sitharaman said.

BJP’S PROMISES FOR BIHAR IN ELECTION MANIFESTO

Apart from free coronavirus vaccine to all, the BJP has also promised an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga.

Listed are some of the promises made in the BJP election manifesto:

1. Free coronavirus vaccine for all
2. Total 19 lakh new jobs in 5 years
3. AIIMS in Darbhanga
4. Appointment of 3 lakh new teachers
5. 30 lakh houses for the poor by 2022
6. New processing units in the next two years for milk production
7. MSP on pulses apart from wheat and rice
8. One lakh jobs in the health sector

After releasing the BJP manifesto ahead of the polls, Nirmala Sitharaman claimed that the gross domestic product in Bihar has seen a sharp rise under the NDA rule. She said that the GDP in Bihar has grown from 3 per cent to 11.3 per cent.

"GDP in Bihar has seen a sharp rise under NDA rule, it has grown from 3 to 11.3 per cent in the state in the last 15 years of NDA government and not during the 15 years of jungle raj. It was made possible because our government gave priority to good governance for people," ANI quoted Nirmala Sitharaman as saying.

Nirmala Sitharaman also appealed to the people in Bihar to vote for NDA this Bihar election 2020. Exuding confidence of winning, Nirmala Sitharaman said, "Nitish Kumar will be the Chief Minister of Bihar for the next 5 years. Under his rule, Bihar will become a progressive and developed state of India."
