Asaduddin Owaisi Hits Out at Mohan Bhagwat, Asks ‘With What Authority Are You Saying a Temple Will b

New Delhi, Dec 03,2017 : All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday hit out at Mohan Bhagwat and asked who is he to decide a temple will be built in Ayodhya? Owaisi’s comment came days after the RSS Chief had asserted that only Ram temple will be built at the disputed site.

 

“With what authority is Mohan Bhagwat saying that a Temple will be built in Ayodhya? The case is still on in the Supreme Court. Is Mohan Bhagwat the Chief Justice? Who is he,” news agency ANI quoted Owaisi as saying.

Earlier on November 24, while addressing ‘Dharma Sansad’, a congregation of 2,000 Hindu saints, mutt heads and VHP leaders from across the country he had said that there should be no ambiguity that Ram Temple will be built at Ayodhya. “We will construct it. It is not a populist declaration but a matter of our faith. It will not change. Ram Mandir only will be constructed and nothing else,” Bhagwat had said.

On November 20, the Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board had submitted  a proposal before the Supreme Court for for settlement of the decades-old dispute over the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid site, saying a temple can be built in Ayodhya and the mosque could be raised in Lucknow. The board has told the top court that peaceful settlement between the parties was in “national interest” and would bring about harmony between Hindus and Muslims in the country.
