4 killed, 5 injured as fire breaks out in Mumbai’s Marol area

Mumbai,Jan 04, 2018 : Four members of a family including two children died after a fire broke out in a residential building at Marol in Andheri East area, Mumbai in the wee hours of Thursday.
Five others were injured in the fire that broke out at Mamoon Manzil at Bohri Colony.
The deceased were identified as Sakina Apasi Kapasi (14), Mohin Apasi Kapasi (10), Taslim Apasi Kapasi (42) and Dawood Ali Kapasi (80). The deceased were residing in the third floor of the building where the fire broke out.
The injured are identified as Ibrahim Kothari (57), Sakina Kothari (53), Hussain Kothari (26, Hafiza Kothari (21) and admitted to Cooper Hospital. Of the four, Ibrahim Kothari is critical.
Fire dept officials suspect short-circuit to be the cause of the accident.They also said that the fire engulfed the flat from all the four side which trapped the Kapasi family.
