Dubai, October 21: “Tuvem Gaitana,” Wilson Olivera’s 5th Konkani musical album, will be released during the grand finale of the Gulf Voice of Mangalore (II), second edition, which is scheduled to be held on Oct 22, Friday at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium in Dubai. Veena Rebimbus, the daughter of late legendary Konkani singer Wilfy Rebimbus, will release the album.

Wilson Olivera has dedicated his album to Konkan Koghul Wilfy Rebimbus; accordingly, it comprises songs written in honour of Wilfy Rebimbus as well as the victims of the Mangalore plane crash victims. It comprises romantic and sentimental numbers such as “Lavina Priyanka,” “Kitlexeo Rathi,” “Baile Baile,” “Priya,” and “Tum Chedum Konachem.” Rony D’Cunha, Prashanth Pinto, Pradeep Pinto, Babita Pinto, Wilson Olivera, and Zeena Pereira are the singers. The producer of “Tuvem Gaita” is Pradeep Pinto. The background music has been set by Sangeeth Guru Joel Pereira and the album has been recorded at Rajashri Studio in Calicut and Sandesha Studio in Mangalore.


Wilson Olivera is the winner of the prestigious awards such as “Karnataka Konkani Sahithya Academy Award” and “Divo Sahithya Puraskar” and has received titles such as “Konkan Manik” and “Sangeeth Sardar.” He has released 4 albums and has written more than 800 lyrics. He has performed 29 musical nites in Dubai, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Qatar, Bangalore, Mangalore, and Mumbai. His 30th musical show is scheduled to be held at St. Agnes Special School Ground in Mangalore on Jan 9, 2011.
