Vishwabrahmana Okkoota’s annual event- a colourful affair

Muscat, April 26, 2013: The 23rd annual meet of Vishwabrahmana Okkoota, Muscat community was held Al Maasa Hall, Ruwi, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman recently. Members of the Vishwabrahmana community from across Sultanate of Oman attended the meet which was unique in its own way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vasudeva Acharya,  members of Oman’s Vishwabrahmana management committee comprising K Ganesh Acharya Kaup, President, Seetharama Acharya, Karkala, Vice-President, Jayarama Acharya Karkala, Secretary, Harischandra Acharya, Joint Secretary and Sadananda Acharya, Karkala, Treasurer, inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Senior members of the community who were on a visit to the Sultanate, and U B  Acharya, Mumbai, Nagalinga Acharya, Bangalore, D R Badigar, editor of Kalikadevi Vani and lawyer, Babu Pattar, Bangalore were felicitated on the occasion.

Secretary Jayarama Acharya, Karkala, presented the annual report on the various activities of the Okkoota.The financial report was submitted by Treasurer Sadananda Acharya, Karkala.

GPA topper in CBSE matriculation from the community, Tejas Acharya  was awarded on the occasion. Winners in various contests were also awarded.

A variety of cultural programmes were also presented by the members of the community.
