 Bahrain, Jun 5, 2014: As part of its ‘Decennial Celebrations’, the ‘Mogaveers Bahrain’ is organizing Rangoli & Drawing Competition on 6th June 2014 at the Karnataka Social Club Auditorium. This event will be the second of its pre-scheduled ‘Ten Special Decennary Events’ and it starts at 10:30am sharp.

RANGOLI CONTEST: This traditional decorative design competition is only for Bahrain based Kannadiga Ladies and there is neither any age limit for enrolment nor any age category. Rangoli should be dots & lines based and design copying on the spot is allowed. Free-Shaped or Freehand arty designs will disqualify. Contestants’ pattern should fit in appx. 3’ X 3’ Square Floor Box provided. No any theme limitation and necessary props [to draw or to décor] can be used to have added attractions and make Rangoli more beautiful & meaningful. Colour powder, petals or any other things can be used and the partakers should arrange for the same. Total duration is one hour. There will be top three awards and the winners will be honoured with attractive trophies and certificates.


DRAWING CONTEST:  This creative competition is only for Bahrain based Kannadiga Students and it will be held in 3 age categories [Above 5 to 8, Above 8 to 12 and Above 12 years Students]. The themes for contest are Nature, Beach and Marketplace and it is optional for all age groups. Contestants’ art should fit in appx. A3 sized art paper provided by the organizers. Any colouring materials like crayons, pencils, sketch pens, watercolours etc. can be used and the contestants should arrange for the same. Total duration is one hour. There will be top three awards for each age category and the winners will be honoured with attractive trophies and certificates.

“Although these competitions are part of our prescheduled ten special decennial events, the Rangoli Contest is purely aimed at keeping India’s rich tradition alive and to pass it on to the younger generation living in the Kingdom. Meanwhile, the Drawing Competition is organized to bring students back to rejoicing mood as they are soon going to complete their academic term with scheduled examinations and thereby to encourage them to enhance their co-curricular talent” said Association President Leeladhar Baikampady.
