Kuwait based Konkani musical couple to release pop album in Mangalore Aug.14

Kuwait, Aug 4, 2014:  Laveena and Anil Pais, who live and work in Kuwait, who released their successful religious music album ’Krist Amcho Rai’ (Christ our King) under ’Kenal Veen Productions’ label five years ago, are now all set to release their second album ’Poilo Mog’ (First Love) on August 14 at Kalaangann Shakthinagar, Mangalore.

If the first album was ’devotional’ this new one consists of  ’socially-relevant songs’  penned by different Konkani poets like Wilson Kateel, Vivian D’Silva, Austine Salins, Joel Attur, Melwyn Peris and Laveena Pais.

Music for the new album has been arranged by another bouquet of talented musicians - Dolvin Kolalgiri, Roshan D’Souza, Melwyn Lobo and Darrel Mascarenhas. "Poilo Mog is sure to be a sensational experience, taking you on a journey filled with love, emotions and pop songs, composed, written, arranged and rendered by reputed and talented artistes," said Anil Pais.
 
The musical duo has given opportunity to Chennai-based talen  Nakul Abhyankar,  with young music composer-singer Prajoth D’Sa, veteran singers Melwyn Peris, Anitha D’Souza, Rony D’Cunha, Adolf Jayatilak, Dr Prashant Raj, Rony Crasta, Naveen Ranjith, Gulf Voice of Mangalore 2010 winner Gladys Lorena and of course Anil and Laveena have lent their lovely voices for the album. Anil Pais is also skilled in several musical instruments.
 
Music is a hobby for Laveena and Anil Pais, presenting a Konkani music album in spite of  professional and family committments is an achievement for this young couple which highlights their devotion to music.

" While working in Kuwait and making time for their first love ’Konkani music’  is a labour of love, but passion for music has brought us to this heaven" says Laveena Pais, who was the finalist in 2012 Gulf Voice of Mangalore which was held in Doha-Qatar. She has already renedered her voice to many audio albums and live shows in different languages. The new album will be attractive to all Konkani music lovers surely.
