Dubai: Johnson DSilva elected as president of SFX Kutam UAE

Dubai, 05 March 2011: Friday 25th February, 2011- marked the special day for St Francis Xavier Association (SFX Kutam) a group of Mudarangady Parishioners residing in the UAE. The members of SFX Kutam gathered in Winney’s Restaurant in Karama to elect the new office bearers for the year 2011-2012.

The meeting commenced with a Prayer followed by a welcome note by the outgoing president Mr. Canute Mathias. The meeting had a review of all the activities and the good work carried out during the years 2009 and 2010. Mr. Canute thanked the committee and the members for their consistent support during his tenure as president.

 

The new office-bearers for the year 2011 - 2012 were elected during the meeting. Mr. Jhonson DSilva, an active youth member from Mudarangady has been unanimously selected as the President of the organization. He has been an active member of this 9 year old association and has taken various responsibilities in the past.

He emphasized that the challenge ahead is to ’Bring all Mudarangady parishioners’ residing in the UAE together and to continue all the good work carried on during the past 9 years. He requested the committee and the members for their full cooperation and assured them of his best efforts for the unity and continuity of the good work.
