Mangalore, December 7: A seminar on global warming was organized by the Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI), the Mangalore Diocese unit, at the Bishop’s House in Mangalore on Nov 30, 2010.
Rev. Dr. Ronald Cutinha spoke of how global warming is capable of destroying the entire universe. He even provided statistical evidences of global warming, and said that the only way to prevent it and save the earth is to avoid deforestation, greenhouse gas emission, and others.
CHAI President (Mangalore unit) Sr. Emma Joseph delivered the welcome address; Secretary Sr. Sophia Menezes proposed the vote of thanks; and Sr. Tulia compered the programme. About 26 people participated in this seminar.
