According to a press release issued by the commission, the letter to the CBFC followed a complaint lodged by Usha Mohan, state secretary of the Aam Aadmi Party. The complaint alleged that certain scenes in the teaser were obscene and could cause serious harm to the social well-being of women and children.

The commission stated that the scenes were released for public viewing without any age restriction or warning, and described them as degrading to the dignity of women and offensive to Kannada culture. It has urged the CBFC to take appropriate action, including cancelling the teaser and removing it from online platforms.
