Mangaluru, June 27, 2015 : NABARD in an advisory said that some fraudulent persons, posing as representatives of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard), are luring general public by misleading them to deposit a certain amount of money in specified bank accounts for receiving agri-implements / farm machinery etc from Nabard under GoI schemes.

According to Nabard, it operates only through its regional offices in state capitals and designated district offices (addresses given on website www.nabard.org).

Nabard does not collectvu money or has authorised anyone to collect any amount by way of margin, transportation cost etc., from the potential beneficiaries of the schemes. Nabard would also like to caution general public, in their own interest, not to be misled by such fraudulent persons. Nabard will not be responsible for any loss or damage- personal or otherwise, caused by such fraudulent transactions.
