Youth festivals must be encouraged: Shrinivas Poojari

Mangalore, Jan 25: “Youth festivals should be regularly organized to reduce the popularity of cinema and television and to foster the development of folk arts,” said Kota Shrinivas Poojari, the member of the legislative council, after inaugurating the Youth Fest of Udupi Taluk, which was held in the premises of Satheeshwaree Mahasthree Amma Temple, on Jan 24. 

Lalaji Mendon, the MLA of Kaup, presided over the programme and wished the organizers well. Shankar Kundar, the member of the Zilla Panchayat; Anand C Kundar, the industrialist; Pramod Madhwaraj; and many others were present.

Talented students of Kodi Gram Panchayat were given scholarships on behalf of Pragathi Yuvaka and Yuvathi Mandala.
