Mangalore, Jan 5: A group of 6 men, who claimed to be Bajrang Dal activists, disrupted the Talents’ Day Function, which was being organized on Jan 5, Monday, at Kurnad Government Pre-University College.

Principal Vasudev Kamath informed reporters that the activists protested against “Hindu girls dancing in front of Muslim boys.” Some of them were clearly under the influence of alcohol. After half an hour, they said that the programme could continue; but Muslim boys must not clap when the girls presented their dance programme.

Kamath informed reporters that the intruders had disconnected power cables. He filed a complaint with the Konaje Police Station that evening.

SP Dr. A S Rao said that the local police are investigating the matter.
