The Women and Child Welfare Department of DK had no rights to suspend the CWC for no reason, especially when the CWC was considered a quasi judicial body at the Bench of Magistrate, said Lolaksha. He stressed that the case must be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The government, which had once praised the committee for its good work, has now suspended its members. But, the involvement of politicians in the issues of illegal child and women trafficking is being concealed. The members of the Women and Child Welfare Department are themselves violating children’s rights. P B D’Sa, the president of PUCL, said that the children are being brain washed and used to build terrorist groups. The police officials are also trying to conceal the truth.

Vidya Dinkar, Prashanth Acharya, and Natesh Ullal were also present at the press conference.
