New residential complex for the judges inaugurated in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Feb 11, 2024: The inauguration of the new residential complex for the judges constructed near the Lalbagh area of the city was conducted by the Chief Justice of the High Court, P.S. Dinesh Kumar, on Saturday.

Present at the occasion were the High Court judges B.M. Shyam Prasad, Muhammad Navaz, District Principal Judge Ravindra Joshi, High Court Registrar K.S. Bharath Kumar, Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department Central Region B.V. Jagadeesh, Mangalore Divisional Executive Engineer H.P. Amarnath Jain, and Superintendent Engineer Gokuldas.

This residential complex, consisting of four floors of Block ‘B’, was built by the Creative Engineers Company. The construction of the new building for the High Court complex in the residential complex is estimated to cost 123 crores. It includes separate spaces for the courtrooms, chambers for advocates, bar association hall, library, and various departments.

In Bantwal too, a plan to build a new High Court complex at a cost of 30 crores has been proposed. Both proposals will be submitted to the government. Officials from the Public Works Department have indicated that they are awaiting funding in the budget allocated by the state government.
