ISKCON hosts grand 19th Annual Sri Krishna-Balarama Ratha Yatra

Mangaluru Feb 19, 2023: City based International Society For Krishna Consciousness  (ISKCON) Branch organised their 19th Annual Sri. Krishna Balarama Ratha Yatra at P.V.S Building Complex Kodialbail, Mangaluru. Vice President of ISKCON Bangalore and Vice Chairman of the Akshaya Patra Foundation Chanchanalapathi Dasa in his address he revealed the significance and purpose of Rathayatra and said that ISKCON is engaged in spreading communal harmony and universal brotherhood among the people around the world.

Vice Chairman New Mangalore Port Trsust K. Gopinath was the Chief Guest and he expressed his happiness over the spiritual activities of Iskcon and his association with them in Mangalore. Founder President of Kalkura Foundation Pradeep Kumar Kalkura and Mrs. Sushma Bansal, Director of A.K. Bansal Group graced occasion as Guests of honour. Iskcon Bangalore Thatva Darshana Dasa, were present, Sathwik Prabhu, donors and patrons were felicitated on his occasion. President of ISKCON Mangalore Gunakara Dasa welcomed the gathering. Secretary Sanandana Dasa proposed vote of thanks. Shwethadweepa Dasa compered the programme.

After performing the special puja symbolically well flower decorated and illuminated colorful majestic chariot carrying Sri Krishna Balarama deities / idols  movement was flagged off from P.V.S. Kalakunj complex. Large number Devotees of Sri Krishna Balarama and followers of ISKCON participated in large numbers and drew the chariot passed through the city main streets reciting Bhajans, Keertans and chanting ‘Hare Krishna Hare Rama’ and dancing in front of the chariot. During the course of RathaYatra, devotees offered flowers, fruits and MangalaArati expressing their devotion and dedication to the Lord. Later Prasadam was distributed to the all present.
