Youth found murdered in forest: killers arrested

Kundapur, Aug 12, 2013: A youth  was found shot dead  in a forest area at Kaikana, Vandse on August 11, Sunday morning.

The deceased Prabhaker Achari (28), son of Sheena Achari of Noojady had reportedly gone  hunting along with some of his friends on August 10, Saturday night. According to sources  he was invited by some friends namely Sunder Poojari, Santosh Poojari, Raju Poojary and Nagaraj Poojary to accompany them. However when he did not return, a search was launched by his family. It was only when two of the  youth who had accompanied Prabhaker surrendered that the murder came to light. The other two who too had gone missing were arrested.

The family of the deceased  suspect that the youth were drunk when the incident took place. The exact cause of the murder is not known. At least seven to eight marks of bullet were found on the body Two bottles of whisky were also found at the spot.

Senior  Police officials visited the spot. Kollur police are investigating.
