Youth booked under POCSO for harassing minor girl

Bantwal, Aug 04, 2023: Bantwal Police have booked a man under POCSO for sexually harassing a minor girl.

The case was booked after the father of the victim lodged a complaint. The accused has been identified as Aboobakker Siddique, an autorickshaw driver.

 

It has been alleged that the accused who came by a bike harassed the girl while she was waiting for the bus near the women’s college at Melkar. It is said the terrified girl fainted on the roadside. Later the college management informed the girl’s father who admitted her to hospital and then lodged a complaint.
