Youth Killed, Another Injured After Motorcycle Hits Deer Near Kamalashile

Kundapura, Sept 14, 2025: A young man lost his life and another sustained serious injuries after their motorcycle collided with a sambar deer near Tarekudlu, close to Kamalashile, on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Shreyas Mogaveera (23), a resident of Nellikatte. His pillion rider, Vignesh, was seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kundapura.

According to sources, the two had visited the Kamalashile temple earlier in the day and were returning to Nellikatte when the accident occurred. The sambar deer reportedly darted across the road, causing the rider to lose control. The motorcycle struck the animal and overturned, leading to the fatal crash.
