Youth Dies in Lift Accident at Mart in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, May 16, 2026: A 28-year-old youth died in a lift accident at a mart in Kuntikana area of the city on Saturday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Naufal, a resident of Poonjakere in Belalu village.

According to sources, the accident occurred while Naufal was at work. Though people at the spot immediately attempted to rescue him, their efforts proved unsuccessful.

Naufal was unmarried. A case has been registered at the Urwa police station, and further investigation is under way.
