Youth Congress leader stabbed

Padubidri, Jan 22, 2022: Reena D’Souza (35), the General Secretary of Kaup Block Youth Congress was stabbed by a man all of a sudden near her house at Hejamady on January 21, Friday evening.

 

Reena has been admitted to Fr Muller Hospital where doctors have performed a surgery on her. Her statement is yet to be obtained.

The accused has been identified as Vinaya (36), a resident of the neighbourhood. The exact reason behind the attack is not known. Reena was speaking to a person near her house when the accused all of a sudden confronted her and stabbed her in the stomach.

Padubidri Police have taken the accused into custody. Investigations are underway.
