Young Lovers Commit Suicide in Puttur

Puttur, Dec 14: Young lovers, Chetan Gowda (27) hailing from Karmala and Navya Gowda (20) from Kemmai, Chikkamudnur, ended their lives in a secluded house in Karmala here by consuming poison. Their bodies were found on Friday, Dec 14.

Navya was working as a sales-girl in a shop in Putur town and Chetan worked for a private firm.

Navya was told by her family members that her elder sister was yet to marry and they had agreed to get her married when her turn came.

On Tuesday, she and Chetan reportedly went missing and were believed to have eloped and were missing.

They decided to end their lives in an unoccupied house in Karmala. The matter came to light on Friday. The Puttur police have registered a case. The investigation on
