Yenepoya University awards scholarships to 235 students

Mangalore, Feb 21, 2012 : Yenepoya University gave away awards and scholarships to 235 students and 19 institutions on Monday.

 

 

 

The university distributed Academic Excellence Awards and scholarships in the range of Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 10,000 for securing high percentages in SSLC, PUC, B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BBM, B.Ed, and BCA examinations among students from DK, Kasargod, and Udupi.

Vice Chancellor P. Chandramohan, MLA U. T. Khader, and many others spoke on the occasion.

The students were employees of the Yenepoya Group, which sponsors five students each in its medical, dental, nursing, and physiotherapy courses, spending around Rs. 163 lakh on them.

According to an official press release, the awards distributed this year were worth a total of Rs. 8.43 lakh.
