Yadava Shetty of CPI(M), independent candidate Sudatta Jain file nominations

Mangalore, March 24, 2014: Yadava Shetty from the CPI(M)  filed his nomination as a candidate from Dakshina Kannada constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, on March 24, Monday. Even Sudatta Jain filed nomination as an independent candidate on Monday. Both submitted their nomination papers to the Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim who is also the District Returning Officer.

Speaking to reporters later on, the CPI(M) candidate Yadava Shetty who has already identified himself with various pro-labour  movements,  has said he was optimistic that the voters of the district would elect him this time.

 

 

He was accompanied by party leaders Vasanth Achari, Yashwanth Maroli, Sunil Kumar Bajal, Jayaram Shetty, KR Sriyan and others.

 Sudatta Jain who is the General Secretary of Akhila Bharatha Karmika Sangha is known for the several protests he had staged  demanding better facilities at ESI Hospital in the city. He too has exuded confidence that the electorate of the constituency would support him.
